Akuapim South Municipal Assembly partook in the maiden National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving. The theme for the program was;"Reset, Reflect and Renew for National Prosperity". The program was held on the 1st of July 2025 at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church Ghana in Aburi. Some dignitaries present were Hon. Paul Osae Offei (MCE), Madam Lydia Akueteh (MCD). The Clergy, Heads of Department and Heads of the various institutions and agencies in the municipality.
Hon. Paul Osae Offei (MCE) welcomed everyone for coming and gave the reason for the gathering. He said the gathering was meant to pray and thank God for the country Ghana.
The word of exhortation was given by Apostle Randy Impact of Grace World Church International. And the intercessory prayer was led by Apostle Maurice Bakossa Head Pastor of Stream of Life Church International.
The Municipal Health Director, Mad. Emily Amponsah used this platform to talk about the resurgence of Covid-19, H1N1 and Monkey-Pox. She advised pastors to inform their congregants to refrain from waving their handkerchiefs during church meetings. She also encouraged everyone to take full responsibility of their health and also when they start showing signs such as fever and cold, they shouldn’t hesitate to visit the hospital.
The Christian session ended and the second session continued at the Aburi Mosque. Imam Abdulai Jibril led those present to pray to Allah for his protection and guidance and also to thank Allah for how far he has brought the country.
